The Central Government invites you to participate this year from 7 to 9 at the Tallinn Old Town Days small project competition that takes place in June. This year, Kesklinn invites participants to the Old Town Days to protect and create culture.
The application round is open and the new deadline is March 13. Project ideas can be submitted in the self-service environment of the Tallinn project and activity support information system. You can read more about the topics and conditions of the competition on the website of the Old Town Days at www.vanalinnapaevad.ee.
The Old Town Days will be held for the 42nd time this year. "At the beginning of this summer, we will look at the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Old Town of Tallinn as a creative conservation area. And at the same time, we try to think about what the new, yet to be created values of the old town could be, with which to move forward," said Monika Haukanõmm, an elder in the city center.
"Besides the fact that all sorts of institutions in the old town will open their doors, we are also expecting leaders of small events to enrich the program of the city festival, who value the history and the future of life in the old town and want to contribute to it," added the elder of the city center.
All kinds of initiatives are welcome for the small project competition, from concerts and workshops to excursions on three sub-themes: the cultural old town, the diverse old town and the old town of all of us. The novelty and feasibility of the project are evaluated. Also, how the initiative fits into its sub-theme and what kind of added value it gives to the overall program of the Old Town Days.
The implementation of the ideas is supported by the central government.
