On Friday, the first day of the Old Town Days, the ever-brilliant Kadri Voorand will perform in Niguliste Church with the band Una Corda. The concert "Between the Lines - Visible and Invisible" will feature Kadri's own work as well as improvisations created on the spot. 

We asked Kadri what events from the Old Town Days programme caught her eye. Here are his suggestions: 

• Arvo Pärt and Estonian Classics (6 and 7 June, Kaarli Church) - the opportunity to listen to Arvo Pärt's works in Kaarli Church gives a completely different colour to his works compared to the concert hall. I find this extraordinary and even a must. 
• Heritage Village Programme (6-8 June, Towers Square) - Preserving and passing on our national heritage is a task for all of us, and I recommend everyone to pick up at least a few pieces from this multi-day programme. See Friday's programme , Saturday programme and Sunday's programme.
• Masters of Iranian traditional music: Mirtohid and Mirvahid Radfar (7 June, St Nicholas Museum) - Equally fascinating is the heritage of other ancient peoples offered by Iranian musicians at this concert. I recommend you go and listen to what we find familiar in this heritage.
• Guided tour "The cellars of the Old Town" in Music City (7-8 June, starting at Vabaduse Square) - many of the places we pass on our daily walks are sure to surprise us in a whole new way as a result of a musical stroll. 
• Song of longing: Portuguese music in the courtyard of the museum (7 June, Adamson-Eric Museum) - The Portuguese are probably the world's greatest connoisseurs of longing, and this feels like one of those concerts where you can let the fado music take over.
