Jaak Juske's recommendations from the Old Town Days' programme!

The packed programme of the Old Town Days includes more than 200 events, from concerts to many events celebrating the Year of the Estonian Book, and visiting all of them can be quite a challenge. Luckily, however, the historian and Old Town enthusiast Jaak Juske recommends five must-go events:

  1. Opening concert of the Old Town Days in Toompark 6 June at 19. As part of the opening, the beloved band Trad.Attack will perform for the last time.
  2. Estonian Book Jubilee Exhibition "Estonian Book 500. Relics" in Niguliste museus. Among other unique exhibits, you can also see the few fragile pages of the Wanradt-Koell catechism, published in 1535.
  3. Arvo Pärt and Estonian Classics in Kaarli Church on 6. and 7 June. In addition to the wonderful music, you can explore one of Tallinn's largest sanctuaries.
  4. In the courtyard of the Suurgild building on 7 and 8 June from 11-16 the Musem of History hosts archaeological excavations with medieval yard games for children.
  5. Let's end the Old Town Days together with a late night a tour focusing in the haounted houses in the area. Let's meet at 8 June at 22:00 next to Gustav Adolf Gymnasium.

See you in the Old Town!
