Youth Orchestra of Kohtla-Järve Gymnasium brings energy and musical passion to the Old Town Days!
Now in its sixth year, the Kohtla-Järve Gymnasium Youth Orchestra brings together music-educated high school students and brilliant soloists with a shared passion for providing audiences with experiences that make their feet move and their hearts beat faster.
Over the years, the orchestra has conquered large and small stages all over Estonia, including several times at the Tallinn Old Town Days. Traditionally, we create a special programme for each summer - and this year is no exception!
The 2025 programme will feature music that is timeless and upbeat - the hits we've always wanted to play and sing! From legendary tunes of the '80s to energetic tunes of today, it's a musical journey through time that will leave no one cold. We'll also be playing originals by students and staff.
All the tracks have been given a new lease of life for the orchestra thanks to the excellent arrangers, For Tõnis Kõrvitsale and Siim Aimlale. Their professional touch brings out the talent and musical temperament of young people in the best possible way.
