A large part of traditional music is intended for dancing, and the new collective Keelepeksjad: Sooäär/Talts/Kelp/Laanesaar is targeting just this, the more rhythmic part of the folk music of both Estonia and other nations. The keywords are electricity, funk, punk, improvisation, and heating, and all this while respecting the traditional source material and keeping it in focus. Two guitars allow for playing melodies polyphonically and polyphonically, taking even some well-known polka pieces to completely new trajectories. The concept of the ensemble has been ready for years, during which time a part of the repertoire has been accumulated, which will finally be presented to the public in 2024.
The concert will be held in cooperation with Eesti Jazzliit.
