The Estonian Defence League's Tallinn District Orchestra, conductor Kalev Kütaru

The Estonian Defence League's Tallinn District Orchestra started at the Millennium Exchange when professional players and active self-actors joined. Today, the orchestra has been operating for 23 consecutive years. This time includes numerous performances, partaking in festive events, as well as foreign trips to Finland and Sweden. Participation in the events of the Estonian Defence League and the performance of the patriotic repertoire are an integral part of the activities of the orchestra. But the orchestra is not limited to playing the anthem and marches. The aim is to offer the members and listeners of the orchestra a repertoire that is as varied as possible and to introduce the works of composers from different countries. This is how the orchestra's repertoire includes settings from symphonic music, operas, musicals, and broadcast music. So every player and listener will find something they like.

The level of the orchestra is high and this is confirmed by the 1st place and gold diploma and Grand Prix of the competition achieved in 2022 at the Estonian Wind Orchestra Tournament and in April 2024 gold diploma and 2. place.
