Opening performance of the Old Town Days “The Dream of the Century”. A romantic concert performance taking us through the tumultuous events of the century towards freedom.

Author and producer Vahur Keller, musical director Siim Aimla, choreographer Piret Torm-Kriis. Participants: Kait Kall, Siim Aimla Swing Band, Swinging Sisters, Hedvig Hanson, Silver Laas, dance studio Modus, Trikivabrik and many others.

The atmosphere of the opening performance is created by and visitors are sent joyfully on their way home by:

Movie Night at the open air cinema on Town Hall Square: Kaljo Kiisk Nipernaadi (1983). This film based on August Gailit’s book Toomas Nipernaadi (1928) follows the adventure-filled journey of one restless man through the Northern summer and autumn to early winter.

Singing together with the song club Laulurõõm from Salme Cultural Centre, lead singer Vaike Sarn. A while ago, it was a tradition during the Old Town Days to gather in the courtyard of the Estonian Museum of Natural History after a busy day and sing together. We are doing it again.
