 11.00-18.00 Exhibition “Enchanted by the Nordic. Estonian artists in the Nordic Countries”. The exhibition regards the creative contacts of the Estonian artists with the Nordic, and its significance in the Estonian artistic and cultural history in the 19th and 20th century. Great Gild building of the Estonian History Museum, Pikk 17

 10.00-20.00 Permanent exhibition “Spirit of survival. 11,000 years of Estonian history“ and the exhibition “Beginnings and ends. From a city centre to a suburb”. With the Dragon Quest work sheet it is possible to hunt for dragons living in the house and find questions to history related questions throughout the day. The work sheet is in Estonian and Russian. Why precisely a dragon? The pillars of the Great Guild Hall have been watched over by a stone-carved dragon for over 600 years. Discount tickets 3€

 18.00-19.00 The Armoury Keeper of the City Museum Ando Pajus introduces the weapons, clothes and customs of a 16th century mercenary (Landesknecht) in front of the Vene 17 building.

 11.00-16.00  Workshops are open, where one can draw car lanes on the asphalt, and make handcrafted cars drive in a friendly and harmonious manner, after they have been built. The more experienced crafters can build a bicycle broach (free of charge).

 12.00–15.00 Workshops at the museum’s courtyard. Tough guys from the streets – mosses – are under the microscopes. Pests in the city – bugs. What else – snails, slugs, earthworms!? I too am a citizen. City birds (feathers, eggshells under the microscope and taxidermy to facilitate the learning of species). Games (not only for children): the game of throwing the pine cone into the basket, rock game. Painting the city life on to rocks. Imprinting who we saw in the city on slate rocks grinded down by the sea. Free of charge.

It is explained, how cobble stone roads manage to survive for so long, but the new sidewalk pavements break down so quickly.  10.00–18.00 Exhibition „Sprat town Tallinn“
 12.00–16.00 Spiced sprat themed workshops at the courtyard of the Fat Margaret. You can test your skills at braising spiced sprat. The spiced sprat is conserved in tin cans. Each visitor has the possibility of designing and filling their personal can of sprats: Genuine spiced sprat is offered at the location, while Gabriel Passov accompanies the event on chord viola. Discount tickets 2 €, the whole programme free of charge with the museum ticket!

Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design, Lai 17

Four exhibitions can be viewed at the museum: permanent design exposition (II floor) “Between art and industry”; “Art products’ factory” (I floor): “Design, vision and teaching”; “Designer Tõnis Käo, RHIZOPE”; “Art and science – hybrid-art and an interdisciplinary research.” The museum’s exhibitions can be visited with a museum ticket.

 12.00-19.00 Design market. Up to 30 Estonian applied artists and designers sell their pieces and products. The objective of the museum is to offer the citizens a possibility for meeting them and having direct conversations with them. Musical entertainment by Mihkel Kleis. Entry free of charge.
 12.00-19.00 During the street games a large surface marked with the streets of Old Town is installed to the courtyard of the museum, which can be decorated on the spot with humans, houses, trees, bicycles and other objects that belong to the city environment, or that might belong there according to fantasy, that are made from different exiting materials! The activities are directed by the museum teacher Sandra Sirp. Participation is free of charge.

Estonian Theatre and Music Museum, Müürivahe 12

 14.00 Concert from the ensemble “Nostalgiline Trio”. Historical instruments that are today only mostly displayed at museums wait on Harju Street. The barrel organ, barrel violin and vocals bring to you music from many countries and nations, as well as styles and periods (Harju tänav).

 11.00-18.00 Amusement Park at the Children’s Area with fun carousel rides or jumping and climbing possibilities on trampolines. A play corner open during the whole day (board games, bubble blowing, face painting, balloon modelling, dances). Little Tom & Friends play tricks and conduct a quiz.
 12.00-17.00 Animation Tent is the place for personally making cool cartoons – in addition to learning the secrets of animation production, you’ll learn to know the road network and history of the Old Town. The produced movies take part in a competition and top three are awarded with a surprise award! Voting takes place on the FB page of the “Vanalinna päevade animatelk” event.
